frequently asked questions
I am happy to answer your questions about all things flowery, so please do get in touch but below are answers to some of your frequently asked questions:
No problem !
We’re all trying hard to reduce our carbon footprint. I grow flowers without pesticides and promote local Cornish flowers, I use paper and recycled packaging and don’t use single use plastics. I do also use imported flowers and some foam if it’s essential.
Yes and no !
Wedding suppliers know that you are working to a budget. But it can be very hard to give you a firm idea of the cost of wedding flowers. That’s because flowers can vary a lot in price and it is difficult to estimate the time taken for items like venue flowers until we’ve agreed detailed designs. I am happy to send you a guideline price list. But please bear in mind that it’s only a guide. It’s much easier if you are able to tell me the budget you’d like to work to…
No, unlike some florists I have no minimum charge for weddings. But I am always open and honest with couples – if it’s a small wedding and you’re marrying miles away it may be cost effective for you to find a more local florist or arrange to collect your flowers.
I’m based at my barn, not in a shop so sadly I don’t carry a lot of flower stock to deliver gift bouquets. I am always happy to receive enquiries and, I can let you know if I have seasonal flowers available. I can often provide a bespoke service for special occasion. If I’m not able to help, I can always recommend several excellent local flower retailers.
